If you are a woman living alone, you will also want to be sure that the property has good security, and you may be more interested in a property above ground floor.  Entry areas and parking areas should also be well lit and secure to provide additional provide peace of mind.

All of these factors are of course more important if you plan to live in your apartment, but are equally valuable selling points for a property that you plan to buy as an investment and rent out.
